Theo A Koch Antique Barber Chair
This is a Theo A Koch barber chair, made in Chicago Illinois circa early 1900's in working order. This barber chair was wrapped in blankets while in storage for many years. The porcelain is in excellent condition. The hydraulic pump work well, but may need some hydraulic oil. You can adjust this to recline or in the upright angle. The seat and the back rest pad and leather should be replaced as the leather is torn. The arm rests are not original and the headrest is missing, but I have seen those parts available on ebay. The chair can be used as is for a barber shop or can be restored to original condition for a reasonable price and would be a valuable item; if you check on ebay, you can find others like it that sold for high dollar value. Because of the size and weight, it's available for local pick up only. It weighs about 300 pounds This is located in Long Branch New Jersey about 40 miles south of Manhatten. Will help you load it into your van or truck. Thanks for considering this unique barber chair and good luck bidding.
