Storkline Antique High Chair 1930′s Converts To A Desk
My husband and I recently purchased an old house with numerous items and I do mean box after box after box of items left behind.
I could not believe the beautiful high chair from the late 1930's early 1940's from Storkline furniture company which was located in Chicago, Illinois. It is so cute and the decal (Jack be nimble rhyme) on the back is original as are all parts to the chair. These Storklines are hard to come by. It still has the tray and wheels and 4 wooden beads for baby to play with. It can then be converted at any time into a desk so the child can color, draw, or play. It is just amazing that it still even has the original spring on the back. The tray can be adjusted to move it closer or farther away. Great to use these old pieces for what they are intended or for decoration. There are a few scratches and it is dusty needs wiping down, no deep gouges or wood chips missing. Really is a very nice piece especially for something this age. I believe the wood to be maple but I am not 100% sure since I don't know wood types very well. Thanks so much for looking and happy shopping.
